Sponsor a Needy Student
Lak Saviya Foundation commenced providing scholarships to needy school and university students in Sri Lanka in 2006. Since then, 189 (89 past and 100 present) school and 49 (38 past and 11 present) university students have benefited from these scholarships, with a number of high achievers. A total of 38 students have graduated from various universities in Sri Lanka including 11 Medical Science, 15 Engineering, 2 Management, and 10 in other areas.
Currently, a total of 106 students are being sponsored, 95 school students and 11 university students. There are 14 students awaiting sponsorships, 13 school students and 1 university student.
Cost of sponsoring is $186 per year for a school student and $218 for a university student.
